The field map of AI

How AI sits across the whole world of work. Each field keeps its full answer on its own page. This page shows the shape of the landscape.

85 of 85 fields assessedMeasured August 2026No scores, no ranking

Nothing on this page adds up to a number. Fields are grouped by zone and the order inside a zone is alphabetical, so a field’s neighbours tell you where it lives and nothing else. Search for a field by name, or filter the landscape to find fields with a shape you care about.

Three kinds of AI reach nearly everywhere

Prediction, language tools, and agents were relevant in every field we assessed. Not one field scored them irrelevant. They are the common layer across the landscape, so the map draws them small. The four domains that genuinely differ get the full marks.

This is a map of where AI reaches today. Reach describes the tools inside the work. It says nothing about what a field is worth, and we never turn it into a score. 0fields still say “not assessed yet”. They stay blank until we have actually looked.
